Columbia River Institute has relationships with several organizations that help make the school successful.
ABMP is our professional organization that not only provides our school and student liability insurance but also provides excellent student and graduate resources. They have a variety of online classes that are free to members as well as excellent study materials for students.
MBB is the go-to resource for any Massage Therapist in business. We use several of their resources in our business class. Membership includes photos, images and blog posts that are available to use in order to enhance any massage business.
CRI offers an evidence-informed program. The Massage Therapy Foundation is an excellent resource for research and education around evidence-informed practice. The students learn research literacy via tools on the MTF website and the school donates annually to the Foundation.
Healwell is a special organization that focuses on training massage therapists to work in hospitals and cancer centers providing exceptional care to patients with acute, chronic, and terminal illness. CRI donates to Healwell and encourages graduates who are interested in hospital work to train at Healwell.
We are an assigned school for the NCBTMB meaning that our students can pursue further certifications with NCBTMB if desired.
A neighbor of the school is Wenatchee Wellness and Bodywork. This is a place where new graduates can rent space inexpensively and as needed to grow their own business without having to sign a lease or pay an expense monthly rent while building their clientele.
Annie is a member of Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary. Each year the Rotary group puts on a 100-mile bike ride to raise money for Rotary scholarships. CRI participates in this event and raises money by doing massage for the cyclists. All of the money goes to the Rotary Scholarships.
CRI is a proud member of the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce.
