Clinic Policies

A Learning Environment

Our student clinic exists to help future massage therapists develop their skills in a real-world setting. This means your session is part of a classroom. Students are still learning, and things may not always go perfectly. Supervisors may step in with guidance, and students may take more time or need correction as they learn.

If you’re looking for a flawless, professional-level massage experience, we recommend booking with a licensed massage therapist instead. But if you’re open to supporting students while enjoying a well-supervised session at a reduced cost, you’ll find this a rewarding experience for both you and the student.

Arrival & Punctuality

  • Please arrive on time. Sessions end at the scheduled time regardless of your arrival.

  • Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will be charged in full and rescheduled.

Cancellations & No-Shows

  • We require at least 4 hours notice to cancel.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the full fee.

  • You may send someone else in your place if needed.

  • We are very strict about cancellations. The clinic is created for students to practice and if they don’t have clients, they cannot practice.

Children & Animals

  • Children are not allowed in the clinic. Please arrange childcare before your appointment. Please leave animals at home as well.

Health & Safety

  • We cannot provide massage if you are ill, contagious, intoxicated, or have certain medical conditions.

  • If you are unsure whether you can safely receive massage, please call Annie at 509-888-7272 before your appointment.

Fragrances & Odors

  • Please avoid perfumes, colognes, and smoke odors (cigarette, marijuana, etc.).

  • Sessions may be refused if strong odors are disruptive to others.

Professional Boundaries

  • Massage is a non-sexual, professional health care service.

  • Any inappropriate comments, jokes, or behavior will result in immediate termination of the session and permanent dismissal from the clinic.

Privacy & Supervision

  • Supervisors will quietly enter and observe or give instruction during your session.

  • Your door will remain open during the massage for instructor observation but you will be professionally draped the entire time.

  • Information about your session may be shared among instructors and students for learning purposes, but your privacy is protected by law.

Therapist Requests

  • We cannot honor therapist requests based on gender. All students need equal practice.

  • You may request a specific student based on style or technique, but availability is not guaranteed.

  • Your therapist may be changed prior to your appointment depending on a variety of circumstances.

Payment & Booking

  • A credit card is required at booking.

  • All appointments are prepaid.

  • All appointments bust be booked online.

Communication During Session

  • Please speak up if anything during your session feels uncomfortable.

  • The school can be louder than a spa or other massage setting. Although we do our best to keep it quiet, please be aware that it is a learning environment first and a quiet environment second.

  • We ask that you take a few minutes after the massage to give constructive feedback.
