Vision and Purpose

Columbia River Institute of Massage Therapy is designed around and dedicated to the continual advancement of the massage therapy profession through the superior training of future massage therapists. Our education is evidence-based with interwoven artistic elements representing what we believe is the leading model of massage therapy.

The school is small by intention, focusing on the individuality of each future massage therapist.

Curriculum

The curriculum is heavily science-based with a substantial focus on critical thinking rather than memorization, utilizing group activities that help challenge and expand conventional ways of learning.

Clinic

The student clinic is a supervised internship. Students receive 100 hours of hands-on experience in a simulating clinic environment with a variety of patients.

Community

The students are supervised as they run student clinic, providing them an opportunity to get to know the local community as well as practice building relationships through clinical practice.
